So, friends, who may or may not read this blog, (and may or may not start reading this blog...) my apologies for the long hiatus?
It's not that I wasn't blogging. I just wasn't blogging here. I had started a WordPress blog on my own domain (which now redirects to this page - woohoo!). But I've been getting this calling to simplify - and perhaps even let go - of several things, and the things I currently have posted online were no exception. But I didn't want to give up blogging completely. And Blogger is still perfectly legit. So with Blogger I shall continue. I did save a few of the posts from the WordPress blog; I may some day post them here retroactively with the dates I originally wrote them on.
A lot is happening in my life right now. Some things good, some things undesired, but all things in God's hands. Which is where they should be. For several months now I keep reflecting on the 'footprints in the sand' poem, when God says that the single set of footprints - often coinciding with the most difficult times of our lives - are the times He carried us.
Right now there is a single set of footprints on my path. I won't lie: The past couple of months for me have been some of the most painful I've ever experienced. I hope and pray the pain will keep waning, as it gradually has been. The pain is stemming from post-graduation looking-for-work stress, and some other personal situations that I never anticipated finding myself in.
With that said, prayers would be appreciated - that I keep focusing on God, and what He would like me to do right now, and that I truly take the time to evaluate everything I might have a future in, and consult Him on what He would like me to focus on - and what He would like me to take away.
On a More Carefree Note -
I am thoroughly going to enjoy Starbucks BOGO promotion of their (oh so delightful!) Holiday beverages. I've had Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread Latte so far. I'm quite partial to the Peppermint Mocha. But I have every intention of trying the others!
